Tuesday’s Recipe Rundown should have been entitled, “Sixteen Ground Turkey Recipes To Keep in Your Back Pocket,” and not “Sixteen Reasons to Keep Ground Turkey in Your Back Pocket.” We regret the error.

Last Monday’s Featured Recipe of the Day was supposed to have been for Chicken With Forty Cloves of Garlic. Due to a proofreading error, the recipe that ran was for Forty Chickens With One Clove of Garlic. Readers should have ignored the preparation step that began, “Mince the garlic and spread it vigorously over all the chickens.” We regret the error.

We spoke too soon last Wednesday when we headlined, “We’ve Got It! The Best Bread Knife in Japan!” We did have it, at the time. But the Japanese baker we stole it from tracked it down and took it back. We regret the error.

In our May 28th article, “The Hottest Farmers Market Accessory,” we mistakenly left out an apostrophe in “farmer’s.” Readers can be forgiven for wondering why we ran so many glamour photos of the farmer we consider to be the hottest one in America today (Earl Johnson of Bixby Mills, N.D.), and of his net shopping bag (his favorite market accessory). We regret the error and pretty much the whole article.

In our May 18th feature, “Five Dishes Every Home Cook Should Know How to Make,” we discovered too late that we only ran instructions on four: dinner plate, tea cup, saucer, and cereal bowl. The directions on how to make a salad plate were accidentally deleted. We regret the error.

The June 1 article entitled, “Make Your Own Ricotta Or Go Fuck Yourself!” should have been entitled simply, “Make Your Own Ricotta.” We regret the error.

Last Sunday morning’s article on barbecuing goat (“Cooking Kid Over an Open Flame”) somehow got combined with the Sunday evening feature on encouraging children to cook (“Get Your Kid Cooking”), resulting what looked like a recipe entitled “Cook Your Kid Over an Open Flame.” To those readers who took our advice and have expressed dismay over the results, we apologize. We regret the error.

We apologize to those listeners to our “Learning From Linguine” podcast who, when we said, “Make dinner with sheet pan ease,” (somehow) thought we had said, “Make dinner at Chez Panisse” or “Make dinner with chimpanzees.” It is not our fault if anyone had trouble obtaining a reservation to use the kitchen at Chez Panisse, nor is it our fault if anyone had difficulty securing the rights either to have a chimpanzee assist them in the kitchen or, in one particular case, to serve the chimp itself for dinner. Nonetheless, we regret the error.
